Our Volunteers, Our Mission
At Marine Rescue Batemans Bay, every life saved on the water and every vessel brought back to the boat ramp or marina is thanks to the dedication of our volunteer team, from our Unit Commander to the newest recruit; everyone gives of their time. We are proud to be a unit powered entirely by volunteers who give their time, energy, and expertise to keep our coastline safe. Behind every crew member is a supportive family who enables their loved one to serve, and we extend our heartfelt thanks to them as well.
Why Fundraising Matters
While we receive approximately 50% of our funding from the NSW Government, sourced through boat licence and registration fees, the remaining 50% must be raised by us, through community events, donations, and sponsorships.
This funding is critical to:
⛽ Fuel our rescue vessels
📚 Provide training materials and safety equipment
âš“ Maintain and upgrade our fleet and infrastructure
How You Can Help
We invite you to be part of our life-saving work by joining us at our community fundraising events:
🔧 Bunnings BBQ Fundraisers
Enjoy a sausage sizzle and a chat with our volunteers at Bunnings Batemans Bay. Every snag sold helps us stay mission-ready.
🎉 Saturday Bingo at the Soldiers Club
Come along for a fun-filled day of games, prizes, and raffles. All proceeds go directly to supporting Marine Rescue Batemans Bay.
Your support, whether through attending an event, making a donation, or simply spreading the word, helps us continue protecting lives on the water. Thank you for standing with us.
Together, we save lives.
