Our rescue vessels
Marine Rescue Batemans Bay has three vessels for responding to a variety of incidents.
Our primary offshore vessel, BM30 is an 11.6m Steber equipped with twin 500kw inboard diesel engines. With a crew of up to 6, BM30 is surveyed to operate up to 30 Nautical Miles of the Batemans Bay Coastline.
Our primary inshore vessel, BM20 is a 7.5m Ocean Cylinder, equipped with twin 250 hp Suzuki outboards. With a crew of up to 4, BM20 operates up to 15nm off the Batemans Bay Coastline, and within the Clyde River to Nelligen.
BM21 is our trailerable Naiad, surveyed to operate up to 7 nm offshore, and in sheltered waters. BM21 is often used for work in the Clyde River, Bay area and beaches as well as other areas where trailering a boat may be the best option. BM21 is a 5.91 Naiad, equipped with twin 115hp Suzuki outboards.
